This short day tour explores the Lassithi Plateau, a lush area of Crete surrounded by the majestic Dikti mountains and dotted with charming villages and old windmills. We will first visit the Monastery of Kera to admire its 13th-century frescoes. Next, we’ll head to Psychro village and the Dikteon Cave, renowned as the legendary birthplace of Zeus. Reaching the cave requires a 15-minute walk, revealing a geological wonder intertwined with mythological stories. Our tour will conclude in the village of Tzermiado, where you can savor rustic specialties at a family-run taverna before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon.
