Hike through the stunning Imbros Gorge with its dramatic narrow passages.
Swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea.
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the coastal village of Sfakia.
Just as stunning as the famous Samaria Gorge, Imbros is an ideal choice for those who want to explore a Cretan gorge and finish at the picturesque South coast with a less demanding hike. Spanning 8 km, it’s neither steep nor particularly challenging, with scenery that transitions from the lush Askyfou plain to a rocky landscape near the arid southern coast. The gorge includes impressive sections, particularly narrow passages, with plenty of shaded areas. It’s suitable for anyone in good physical condition, requiring no prior hiking experience, and can be a great option for families, provided children can manage the 3-hour hike on a mostly rocky trail. Solid walking shoes are essential for an enjoyable day. After the hike, we’ll drive to a stunning beach to relax and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea. You can then savor a late lunch in the coastal village of Sfakia before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon.
